What conditions are required for the laying of duct fiber optic cable?

There should be no obstructions, no collapses, and no sharp protrusions. Use a pipe cleaner to pass through the pipeline;

Single-layer laying should be ≥ φ90mm, multi-layer laying should be ≥ φ110mm, ensuring the space for cable insertion;

Clean the sand, silt and water in the pipeline to avoid damaging the optical cable sheath.

What are the methods for laying duct fiber optic cable?

Manual cable threading: For pipelines with a diameter of ≥φ90mm and a distance of ≤200m, the cables are threaded manually.

Mechanical blowing cable laying: For pipelines with a diameter of ≥φ110mm and a distance of 500-2000m, the cables are pushed forward by the high-pressure air flow of the blowing machine. This method is more efficient and causes less damage to the optical cables, and is recommended for long-distance / complex pipeline applications.

Can duct fiber optic cable be expanded?

Yes, it can be expanded. Core expansion: New optical cables can be laid in the existing pipeline (if the pipe diameter is sufficient), or larger core optical cables can be replaced; Reuse expansion: The unused fiber cores of the existing optical cables can be utilized without laying new optical cables, which has the lowest cost and the highest efficiency.

How long does duct fiber optic cable last?

The actual usage can last for more than 30 years.
