The Relevant Types of GYFTY Fiber Optic Cable
No metal parts, effectively lightning proof & anti-EMI, ideal for high-voltage power lines and thunderstorm areas.
High tensile strength, no rust, no corrosion, ensures long service life in coastal & chemical environments.
Fiber filling compound + water blocking yarn & tape, excellent waterproof performance for outdoor use.
Stable transmission from -40℃ to +70℃, suitable for extreme cold and hot areas.
Easy for aerial & duct installation, faster construction, lower labor cost, widely used in telecom & power networks.
Lightning Protection Capability
GYFTY fiber optic cable uses glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) as the non-metallic central reinforcing core, without any metal components. This design fundamentally eliminates the risks of electromagnetic induction and lightning strikes. It is particularly suitable for use in high-voltage power lines erected on the same pole, substations, electrified railways, mines and other areas with strong electromagnetic interference.

Easy to Install
GYFTY fiber optic cable has a light overall weight and excellent flexibility. It does not have a metal armor layer, making the installation process of pipe threading and overhead laying more convenient. This can reduce the labor and equipment costs during construction. At the same time, since there are no metal components, during the laying process, there is no need to consider additional procedures such as grounding and lightning protection, thus shortening the construction period.
Waterproof Performance
GYFTY fiber optic cable adopts a triple waterproof design: the inner loose tube is filled with waterproof compound, the gaps of the cable core are filled with water-blocking grease, and the outer polyethylene sheath is sealed. This design can effectively prevent water from penetrating, making it suitable for long-term use in damp underground pipelines and rainy areas. It also ensures stable optical fiber performance and extends the service life of the optical cable.

OUFU Offers Quality Assurance for GYFTY Fiber Optic Cables
OUFU is a leading enterprise in the field of optical communication in China. We offer an extremely diverse range of optical cable products, including high-specification GYFTY fiber optic cables suitable for demanding environments. Quality control is ensured.
The Four Core Advantages of OUFU
- Complete Industrial Chain
- Efficient Fast Delivery
- Strict Quality Control System
- Professional Customization

We own a fully integrated industrial chain covering optical fiber preform, fiber drawing, secondary coating, cabling, and finished product testing. With independent R&D and self-production capabilities, we achieve stable and controllable supply of core materials, reduce external dependence, and avoid supply chain risks. This vertical integration also greatly optimizes production cost, improves production efficiency, and ensures stable product performance and consistent quality for all orders.
Equipped with advanced fully automatic production lines and mature manufacturing systems, we have a large annual production capacity to support large‑scale government projects, operator procurement and global bulk orders. At the same time, we maintain flexible production scheduling to accept small‑batch customized orders. With standardized production processes and efficient logistics arrangements, we guarantee short lead times, on‑time delivery, and strong ability to respond to urgent orders.
We insist on high-standard production in line with international certifications such as ISO, IEC, CE, RoHS and TLC. Our products adopt low-loss optical fiber technology and high-quality sheathing materials, featuring low attenuation, high tensile strength, moisture resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and long service life. A full-process quality inspection system is implemented from incoming materials to finished products, ensuring each cable meets strict performance requirements before delivery.
We provide targeted optical fiber cable solutions for different scenarios including communication trunk lines, data centers, smart cities, power grids, mining, submarine and outdoor harsh environments. Our professional technical team supports product structure customization, color matching, length design and special performance customization. We also offer full lifecycle services including scheme consultation, on-site guidance, after-sales maintenance and technical training to create a reliable one-stop service experience.
GYFTY fiber optic cable is a loose-twisted non-metallic strength component, belonging to a non-armored type of fiber optic cable. A 250-micron optical fiber is encapsulated in a high-modulus loose jacket, and the inside of the tube is filled with a waterproof compound. One is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). The loose tubes and filling ropes are wound around the center of the glass fiber reinforced plastic to form a compact cable core. The gaps between the cable core wires are filled with waterproof filler, and there is also a layer of polyethylene (PE) sheath on the outside for protection.
The key reason lies in its fully non-metallic design. Unlike cables with metal reinforcements or protective layers, GYFTY fiber optic cable uses glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) instead of steel wires/steel strips. This eliminates the possibility of electromagnetic induction, lightning conduction, and static accumulation. Therefore, it is highly suitable for installation in high-voltage power areas, electrified railways, and mines with strong electromagnetic interference (EMI).
GYFTY fiber optic cables are mainly suitable for duct installation and aerial installation.
Their lightweight and flexible structure enables them to easily pass through underground pipelines, and they have excellent waterproof performance, capable of adapting to damp underground environments.
They are suitable for short-distance aerial laying in rural areas, towns, or on power lines on the same pole.
Note: It is not recommended to directly carry out buried installation because GYFTY does not have a metal protective layer, and its resistance to external mechanical damage is relatively weak.
No. GYFTY fiber optic cable do not have a metal sheath layer and have limited resistance to external mechanical forces (such as soil compression, rock friction, and rodent bites). For direct burial installation scenarios, it is recommended to use cables with sheaths, such as GYTA (aluminum tape sheath) or GYTS (steel tape sheath).
Yes, it is the preferred product for co-pole erection in power systems. Its non-metallic structure avoids electromagnetic induction with high-voltage power lines and prevents damage to the cables from lightning and interference with grid operation, perfectly meeting the communication needs of power dispatching and relay protection.
