GYFTY fiber optic cable is a loose-twisted non-metallic strength component, belonging to a non-armored type of fiber optic cable. A 250-micron optical fiber is encapsulated in a high-modulus loose jacket, and the inside of the tube is filled with a waterproof compound. One is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). The loose tubes and filling ropes are wound around the center of the glass fiber reinforced plastic to form a compact cable core. The gaps between the cable core wires are filled with waterproof filler, and there is also a layer of polyethylene (PE) sheath on the outside for protection.

No. GYFTY fiber optic cable do not have a metal sheath layer and have limited resistance to external mechanical forces (such as soil compression, rock friction, and rodent bites). For direct burial installation scenarios, it is recommended to use cables with sheaths, such as GYTA (aluminum tape sheath) or GYTS (steel tape sheath).
