GYXTW Fiber Optic Cable
GYXTW Fiber Optic Cable is a type of outdoor armored fiber optic cable commonly used in telecommunications networks for long-distance and high-performance data transmission. It’s especially suited for duct (underground conduit) and aerial (overhead) installations.

GYXTW Core Structure
- Optical Fiber: 2–24 cores (typically single-mode G.652D).
- Central Loose Tube: Houses the fibers, filled with waterproof gel.
- Water Blocking Materials: Prevent longitudinal water penetration.
- Corrugated Steel Tape (PSP): Light armor for crush & rodent resistance.
- Strength Members: Two parallel steel wires for high tensile strength.
- Outer Sheath: Black UV-resistant Polyethylene (PE).

The Types of GYXTW Fiber Optic Cable
OUFU can customize various types of GYXTW fiber optic cables for you. Please customize the GYXTW fiber optic cable according to your needs.
Excellent tensile, lateral pressure and bending resistance performance.
Resistant to high and low temperatures, suitable for outdoor harsh environments.
High cost-performance ratio, it is the mainstream model for outdoor short-distance wiring.
GYXTW Fiber Optic Cable Advantages
GYXTW (Central Loose Tube Light-armored Fiber Cable) is a widely used outdoor optical cable, primarily known for its excellent mechanical strength, moisture protection, environmental durability, and ease of installation.

Dual parallel steel wires on both sides provide high tensile strength (up to 6000N), ideal for aerial long-spans.
Corrugated steel tape (PSP) armor offers great crush & impact resistance against lateral pressure.

Central loose tube filled with water-blocking gel protects fibers.
Steel tape armor + water-blocking materials create a double barrier against water penetration.

Compact central tube design makes it easy to handle, pull, and install in ducts, conduits, or aerial.
Good flexibility (bend radius ~15x cable diameter).

Black PE outer sheath delivers strong UV, aging, and chemical corrosion resistance for long-term outdoor use.

Low signal attenuation (e.g., ≤0.36 dB/km @1310nm) for long-haul & high-speed data.
Stable fiber excess length → minimal additional attenuation after installation.

Ideal for aerial, duct, & light direct burial.
Mature structure, low failure rate, easy maintenance, high cost-performance.
Easy to Install
GYXTW fiber optic cable adopts a central bundle tube structure. Each bundle tube can accommodate 2 to 24 optical fibers. The cable has a small diameter and light weight. It has excellent bending performance, flexible wiring, and reduces the difficulty of installation.

High Durability
GYXTW fiber optic cable is equipped with two parallel steel wires as tension-resistant elements, which can withstand the pulling forces from overhead and buried laying. The outer jacket of the loose tube is coated with plastic steel tape, effectively resisting external forces such as rat bites and squeezing.
Wide Application Scope
GYXTW fiber optic cable is compatible with various laying methods such as overhead, pipeline and direct burial. There is no need to change the optical cable model according to different scenarios, thereby reducing the inventory and procurement costs of the project.

OUFU Offers Quality Assurance for GYXTW Fiber Optic Cables
OUFU has established a complete process control system, covering the detection of raw materials upon entry to the factory, the inspection during the production process, and the final inspection of the finished products before they leave the factory. Quality checkpoints are set up at every step of the process. The GYXTW fiber optic cable qualification rate remains above 99.8%. We has obtained multiple international authoritative certifications such as ISO9001, CE, and ROHS.
Advantages of Our Professional Fiber Optic Cable Factory

As a professional manufacturer with years of experience in fiber optic communication, we provide stable, cost-effective and customized fiber optic cable solutions for global telecom operators, contractors, distributors and system integrators.
We have fully automatic production lines, strict quality control systems and a complete supply chain from fiber optic cable to finished cables.
Overhead installation: Used in conjunction with poles and suspension lines, it relies on the built-in parallel steel wires to resist wind, snow and tension.
Pipeline/conduit installation: With its small diameter and good bending performance, the cable is easy to pass through narrow underground pipes and weak current wells.
Direct burial (shallow burial): Suitable for non-heavy traffic areas such as residential areas and park green belts (it is recommended to lay a sand and gravel cushion layer for protection).
It is not recommended. GYXTW cable adopts a lightweight armor protection structure (double-sided coated steel tape + polyethylene sheath). In shallow burial conditions, it can withstand slight soil compression and damage from rodents, but it cannot withstand the long-term heavy pressure and rolling of heavy traffic areas such as highways and railways. For such scenarios, it is recommended to choose heavy armor cables, such as GYTA53.
Yes. It adopts a dual waterproof design:
The inner flexible tube is filled with waterproof compounds to protect the optical fiber from moisture erosion.
A waterproof material is added between the steel band and the flexible tube to achieve longitudinal waterproofing and prevent water from spreading along the cable.
Static bending radius: ≥ 10 times the outer diameter of the cable (applicable to fixed laying scenarios such as in pipelines and direct burial).
Dynamic bending radius: ≥ 20 times the outer diameter of the cable (applicable to construction and laying processes such as overhead traction).
It is not recommended. GYXTW cable is an outdoor cable, and its outer sheath is made of polyethylene, which does not meet the requirements of indoor flame retardancy standards. For indoor wiring, it is recommended to choose GJFJV and other indoor cables.
Under standard installation and normal usage conditions, the service life of the GYXTW cable can reach 25 years or more, which is comparable to the service life of most outdoor communication infrastructure.
